What: A seminar that contrasts historical worship settings, Lutheran Divine Service and praise services

Time: Registration 8:00AM, seminar from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; lunch will be provided from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.

Who Should Attend: Everyone in your church should know the genesis of the Divine Service and how it contrasts with praise-style services. Sessions include sections on service settings (OT & NT), liturgy (formal or not), music (teaching or emotion), communion (sacrament or remembrance) and adiaphora (indifferent church practices). The seminar is packaged in three sessions using embedded music.

Session 1 – The History of Worship

Session 2 – The Worship Setting

Session 3 – Elements of Divine Service (based largely on The Fire and The Staff, by Pr. Klemet Preus)
