Confessional Lutherans for Christ’s Commission (CLCC) is governed by a board of six directors. Three of the directors must be ordained graduates of a full-time recognized four-year Lutheran seminary; at least two of the three must be rostered members of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Three of the directors must be male laymen; and at least two of the three must be members of an LCMS congregation.
Rev. Mark B. Stirdivant (Chairman) is Associate Pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a native of Southern California and graduated from Christ College/Concordia University in Irvine, CA, before earning his M.Div. at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne. He has lived in the Midwest for over 17 years.
A.C. Schwark (also Director of Education) is a retired financial manager having served as Senior Vice President and CFO at Bank One, Cincinnati, Director of Business Planning and Analysis at AT&T Wireless and CFO of a privately held import company. In addition, he has taught finance and economics on an adjunct basis for the past 20 years. He received a BA in mathematics and economics at Valparaiso University, his MBA in finance at Washington University in St. Louis, and is a graduate of Rutgers’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He currently is a Regent at Concordia University, Portland, and serves on the Board of Education at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Snohomish, WA. He previously served on Board of Elders, taught the Young Adults Bible class, and was a lay delegate at the 2013 LCMS convention in St. Louis.
Rev. Rob Jarvis is the pastor of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota. He is a graduate of Concordia University, Seward, and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. In his 20+ years of pastoral ministry, Rev. Jarvis has served congregations in Moorhead, MN; Menomonie, WI; and Morris, MN along with the students of the University of Minnesota, Morris. Rev. Jarvis served on the working group that formed CLCC and is also a survivor of lymphoma.
Daniel Sanchez is from Redwood Falls, Minnesota and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris with degrees in Spanish and Latin American Area Studies. During his college years, he chaired UMM’s Lutheran Student Fellowship (LSF) chapter. In his senior year he was president of the Region IV LSF (MN, SD, ND). From 2004 – 2006, Daniel served as a counselor at Lutheran Island Camp, Henning, Minnesota. Daniel arrived at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca as a Program Assistant in August of 2006, and a few months later was appointed to be the Program Director. Daniel served as the Camp’s Program Director until January of 2014, when he was appointed as Interim Camp Director. Daniel also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Lutheran Outdoors Ministry Association and is a member on the IDE Youth Committee.
