Late Summer (September) 2015
Friends in Christ,
It’s unbelievable how quickly this past summer has flown by! Again!
While summer has been flying by, a lot has actually been happening with the CLCC! For one of those things, we have been approved as a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of the LCMS. This means our organization has been vetted by the LCMS and found to be trustworthy. We hope that even if it doesn’t actually open doors for us, at least the lock that was on them will have come off. We realize many LCMS congregations only include organizations that are RSOs in their congregation’s ministry. We respect that. If your congregation is one of those, the opportunity may now have been opened for you to invite us to come and teach a seminar at your church, or for your circuit forum. We are here to assist you.
Another big change within our organization is the resignation of Gene and Deanna White. We thank the Whites for all the very hard work and dedicated service they have given to the CLCC since it began. In fact, CLCC was Gene’s idea. We wouldn’t be here without their diligent efforts. We hope they are enjoying having more free time, and are sure they will remain active in their community and church. God speed to them both!
Evangelism, Outreach and Affirmation was conducted recently in Indiana by our newest instructor, Mr. Mike Hawkins. Mr. A.C. Schwark, our Education Director, also attended the seminar. He received a nice email from Rev. Dannie Mackey, which we have permission to share:
I did indeed find the seminar worth the long drive from Muncie! Thank you and
thank Mike for presenting some excellent information. I hope to implement a
number of things you suggested and also to teach quite a bit of it in conjunction
with my upcoming Bible study on John’s Gospel.
I am very impressed with the CLCC’s work. I will remember your organization
as a valuable resource in the future.

Fall is coming; so it is definitely time to get more seminars scheduled for the winter and next spring. We hope you might consider inviting us in. Please visit our NEW website, theclcc.org, if you haven’t already. We have a list of the seminars we offer there.
Ordaining Women: Why We Don’t is coming up February 20, 2016, in Garfield, MN, at St John’s Lutheran Church. It will be taught again this year by the Rev. Dr. Karl Weber from Ottertail, MN. This will be a great opportunity to learn more clearly why we don’t have women pastors and, hopefully, how to better explain it to your family and friends. We know in the age we are living in it seems we are in the minority. I know this will be an excellent conference and we will all learn a lot! I hope you can attend! Watch for more information to come out shortly.
Plans are also beginning for a CLCC convention to be held in Bloomington, MN again this year in conjunction with the ACL/Luther Academy Conference which is held each year at the Ramada, Mall of America. Again, watch for more information coming out soon.
I hope you have a wonderful fall. We know more church activities will be starting up again. Things seem to get more back in a routine. Summer is wonderful, but God blesses us with all the seasons and I think we can learn and grow during all of them.
I ( Kari Anderson) have returned as the publicity director for the CLCC after a break. Please contact me with any ideas or concerns. We’d love to have you become involved and are always looking for new members. Members are crucial for organizations like ours. We really believe having lay people better educated in what we believe, teach and confess is important in this day and age (and always has been) for us to better defend our faith and to remain faithful to the Word.
Farewell for now. God’s blessing to you always!
Kari Anderson, Publicity Director for CLCC
