Dear Friends of CLCC,
Fall is upon us and before you know it we will all be sitting down for the Annual Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. The Christmas Season is almost here! What a great time of the year!
I need to let you all know that here at CLCC we are shifting gears on how often and who will be contributing to the Anchor. You saw a precursor of that in the Sept Anchor and our efforts continue. Unfortunately, all of the gears haven’t always meshed perfectly and some of you did not receive an email notification of the Sept Anchor in a timely manner, but it is posted on the newsletter page.
Another change is going to a monthly 1-page Anchor instead of a longer bi-monthly issue. Space permitting the Anchor will include a short article from one of our officers or directors. Starting in January we will also be emailing a new info page to our membership list. The content will be focused news of interest to our members, i.e. items in progress of interest, bio info on the officers and board members, membership encouragement, etc.
Kari Anderson has resigned as the Publicity Director after serving in this position since CLCC was first started. She hopes to still remain an active member and will assist us in certain activities as needed. Many thank for her tireless dedication to the CLCC cause from the very beginning of our educational activities. Her inputs will be sorely missed.
Stepping in the publicity void will be Ms. Laura Hern, who was recently appointed to be our Conference Coordinator and has now been nominated to take on the task of Publicity Director.
Kari Anderson will be organizing another winter conference to be led by Rev. Karl Weber that will be held tentatively in February, at St. John’s Lutheran Church 101 Park Street, Garfield, MN. The topic will be a continuation on the theme of God’s Gifts, “Worship: What’s Happening in the Liturgy.” Watch our Website as more details become available.
Blessings to you!
In His Service always,
Acting Publicity Director
